OATMEAL STOUT • 12.2%
Skeleton Trees is a strong and robust oatmeal stout, brewed to a higher strength, and designed for the the use of adjuncts. The bulk of the base beer is constructed with Maris Otter malt from The U.K., and is bolstered by a myriad of specialty malts and adjuncts including; Munich Malt, Pale Chocolate Malt, Roasted Barley, Simpsons DRC, Carafa Special II, and flaked oats. Post fermentation, Skeleton Trees was the canvas for adjuncting with freshly roasted “Eastside Espresso” from Coastal Coffee Collective at approximately 4lbs of Coffee/bbl of beer. After the coffee extraction was complete the beer underwent another extraction, this time on Vanilla from Madagascar & DR Congo. The sum of all these parts is a rich, deceptively easy drinking (12.2% ABV) desert like beer, with strong notes of Vanilla & Coffee (Duh.), but also includes notes of Cola, Wildflower Honey, & Coconut.
